

The University of Tirana organized a Python and Natural Language Processing (NLP) training within the Erasmus+ DiLanEdu-WB project.
The University of Tirana, Faculty of Foreign Languages, Department of Greek Language, successfully organized a training programme on “Python Programming for Natural Language Processing (NLP)” within the framework of the DiLanEdu-WB project.
The training was held from 27 to 30 April 2026 and brought together 32 participants, including academic staff, students, and professionals interested in language technologies.
The programme focused on developing practical skills in:
Special emphasis was placed on the development of language technologies for the Albanian language as a low-resource language, addressing key linguistic challenges.
The training combined theoretical input with hands-on exercises and was delivered by qualified external experts. It was conducted in the language laboratory facilities of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, ensuring an interactive and practice-oriented learning environment.
This activity contributes to strengthening digital competences in higher education and supports the integration of innovative technologies into teaching, learning, and research.
